Synopsis
Clark is approached by Met U for recruitment and meets Geoff, a former Smallville resident. It soon becomes apparent that he is using his powers to paralyze anybody who gets in his way...including Lois.

At the University of Metropolis at a frat party, Lois is having a drinking contest and winning when one of the students, Geoff, tries to break it up. Lois' opponent Coop passes out He manages to stagger out after her as she leaves and she's forced to get rough. The next morning she wakes up with a hangover and is arrested by the police, who say she paralyzed the boy.
Clark is off to Metropolis and is escorted by Geoff, a former Smallville player. Lois is out on bail thanks to Chloe, who starts hinting at Clark's "amazing talents." And Jason and Lex have another meeting about Genevieve and wonder about her worldwide travels and her investigation about Isabelle. And Lois and Chloe check out the paralyzed student and get a lead on his girlfriend.
Clark gets a hero's welcome at Metropolis Stadium – his own jersey, a marching band, a grateful alumni corporate booster, and sorority girls. While up in the girls' room, Clark finds Lois in a closet and gets a moment alone – she's discovered Coop was meeting with a reporter. At the hospital, Geoff visits Coop, who is starting to come out of his paralysis, and smothers him.
Clark and Lois go to check things out and meet Geoff, who breaks the bad news about Coop. In return Lois reveals what they know about Coop and the reporter. Lana and Jason discuss Lex's investigation into Genevieve and Lana isn't happy, then confronts Lex who warns her she might not want to hear what he has to say. During Coop's wake, Clark overhears Geoff talking with a guy, Marcus, who helped him with a urine test and witness Geoff momentarily paralyze the guy. Clark tells everything to Chloe and Lois, and Lois confronts Marcus and Geoff confronts her. He paralyzes and kidnaps her as Chloe realizes she's missing and tells Clark. They get hold of Geoff's computer car system code to track him down.
Geoff prepares to drown the paralyzed Lois in the sewers but Clark catches up to Geoff. Fortunately Clark is immune to Geoff's powers and after capturing him rescues Lois. Clark is forced to reconsider his own career as a football player after seeing the pressure Geoff was under. Lex reveals to Lana that Jason and Genevieve met the day before Lana met Jason, and that Jason has been aware of Isabelle for a while. Lois is kicked out of the university and Clark ends up taking her into the Kent household. At school, Chloe reveals she got her scholarship and is impressed that Clark dropped out of football.
