Full Recap
Lana arrives at her apartment to be greeted by Genevieve, who takes the gun from her at gunpoint. Lana tries to make a run for it but Genevieve grabs her and starts choking her . . . which brings back Isabelle, who easily throws her off. Isabelle uses the stone and stabs Genevieve in the heart with it, causing the tattoo on her back to disappear and Isabelle to disappear, apparently for good, with the completion of her desire to kill the Teagues. Lex arrives and sees everything.
At the Kent farm, Clark is awakened as all the machines start going haywire and Shelby starts pawing at the kitchen door. He opens it to a burst of light and he sees a glowing borealis over the caves. The light flows into a ball . . and Clark wakes up, yelling "It's coming. In space, a meteor splinters on its way toward Earth, with a clock indicating 14:19 until impact.
Lex gets a shocked Lana to the manor and vows to protect her from Genevieve's rich, powerful husband, using his own lawyers. Lana still has the stone, which Lex knows about. A security guard warns them that something has come up. At the Kent farm, Lois announces she's leaving to find her sister (along with her father). Lex goes back to Lana's apartment where Lionel is waiting and offers a deal – the stone in return for Lana's freedom. Lex tries to defend her but Lionel expects the stone tomorrow. The meteor shards impact over the Moon as they approach Earth, and Earth radar picks them up. 9:18 until impact.
Clark prepares for graduation with Lois' help. At the ceremony, Lana is missing as Clark goes up for his diploma. As they call Lana's name, the Army moves in sirens blaring and declare an emergency and evacuation in a 50-yard radius. They warn that in three hours a meteor shower will hit. Lois and Chloe insist on staying to find Lana. Clark goes to the farm, believing he's responsible in some manner. 2:21 until impact.
Clark grabs the hex key for the cave when Lex arrives to offer safe transport. Clark (rather awkwardly) declines his offer and Lex reveals that he knows about the inner chamber in the cave. Clark lies about his knowledge and Lex leaves. Clark goes to the cave's inner chamber and uses the key to call out to Jor-El. Jor-El reveals that the oncoming meteor shower is Clark's fault and the stones are only for him. When Clark denied his heritage, and the human blood stained the stone that Isabelle used, it set the meteor shower in motion. He warns the three stones must become one to save the Earth from annihilation, a disaster even he can't survive. 00:45 until impact.
The Kents are packed and ready to leave when Clark arrives to warn that he has to stay to find the two remaining stones. Jonathan and Martha accept his decision and head for safety. Clark finds Lana in the barn and she gives him her bloodstained stone. She refuses to explain where the blood came from, asking Clark to trust her and confesses her love for him, he admits his love, and they kiss. Then she leaves. 00:19 until impact.
Lana calls Chloe from Luthor Manor as Lex interrupts her call. She lies to him about where the stone is and refuses to give it to him for safekeeping. As the Kents and Shelby prepare to leave, a bloody Jason arrives with a shotgun and wants to know where Clark is. 00:14 until impact. Chloe and Lois try to get to Lana at the manor based on the call but the Army refuses to let them through. Chloe sneaks through anyway when Lois provides a distraction thanks to her father. Clark returns to the cave with the second stone while Lex confronts Lionel at the manor and lies about Lana's presence and that she has the stone. Lex offers Lionel the knowledge of the cave's hidden chamber in return for Lana's freedom. When Clark places the second stone, Lionel goes into convulsions – he has the stone on him. When Lex reaches for it he's blasted back, stunned. When he wakes up Lionel is comatose – Lex orders them to make Lionel comfortable and then takes the stone and heads for the cave.
Clark superspeeds to the manor following the screeching beacon noise, and finds the stone in the vault . . . but it's also filled with kryptonite relics. He manages to grab the third stone but collapses. 00:05 until impact.
Jason is holding the Kents at their house and obviously knows about the gaps in Clark's background. As he demands the stones, Lex gets Lana onto a helicopter to Metropolis but asks for the stone and gets violent when she refuses. Chloe gets to the manor and finds Clark, pulling him clear of the kryptonite. Lex arrives and observes the devastation but doesn't see Clark before he superspeeds away with the third stone. An increasingly angry Lex hauls Chloe along with him to the cave. 00:01 to impact.
Jonathan tells Martha to reveal where the stones are and Jonathan manages to get the drop on him. Jason manages to beat them in the fight but then the meteors hit and one slams directly into the house. More begin to strike as the Army and civilians look on in horror. Clark manages to save one little boy from a fatal impact. Lana's helicopter is caught in the storm and its tail assembly is knocked off and they plummet toward the ground.
Clark returns to the cave chamber with the third stone as Chloe and Lex get there and see the stones start to glow in the chamber. Lex starts to enter but Chloe shoves him into a wall and sees Clark reach out and grab the stone. Energy courses through him as back at the manor, Lionel's brain is overwhelmed by Kryptonian data. Lex manges to stagger in just as a blast of energy flares out . . . and he's in a vast field of snow.
Lois pulls up outside of town and surveys the devastated town. A badly injured Lana managed to survive the crash and pulls clear of the helicopter. She's near a meteor crater and pulls herself up to its edge . . . to see a large version of Clark's ship, which starts to open. In the snow fields, the crystal floats into the air and indicates Clark should throw it. Which he does. (to be continued)
